WHAT YOUR TEAM WILL WIN...
The aim of this competition is to raise much-needed money for St John's Hospice (North Lancashire and South Lakes). The team that raises the most money by midnight on July 31st will win the competition. Here is exactly what we will do for you:
🎥HAVE YOUR MATCH FILMED
Filming football matches is what we do! We specialise in it! Using our 15ft Hi-Pod tower, we will professionally record your game in full HD for FREE! And because our camera is elevated above pitch level, we get the perfect view of the pitch, without any obstructions!
🎞️STAR IN A MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VIDEO
You will also star in one of our first class match highlights videos on our YouTube channel. We will upload a video showing all of the key moments from the game, along with slow motion replays of goals and any big talking points. We will also include team line-ups (if both teams provide them), as well as a match stats graphic at the end of the match. These stats include total shots, shots on target, shots off target, shots blocked, offsides, corners, yellow cards and red cards.
📹MULTIPLE CAMERAS
We will use a number of camera operators to get alternative angles for goals, key moments, and even crowd and bench reactions!
🎙️MATCH COMMENTARY
To make the match highlights video look and sound even more professional, we will use an experienced football commentator to give it that extra touch!
⚽GET A COPY OF FULL GAME
You will also receive a copy of the full match. The game will be filmed in HD, and once it has been sent over to you, you can use it on your own website or social media. Or just use it to analyse your team's performance!
COMPETITION INFORMATION
The aim of this competition is to raise as much money as possible for St John's Hospice (North Lancashire and South Lakes).
It is open to teams of all ages and abilities throughout England. This includes men's football, women's football and junior football!
Teams must raise money for this hospice specifically - the team that raises the most money wins the competition!
The winners will be contacted via email, and we will send them a list of dates that we are available to film on in August.
COMPETITION ENDS MIDNIGHT ON JULY 31st!
HOW TO ENTER
STEP 1
Create your team's JustGiving page (make sure you are raising money for St John's Hospice (North Lancashire and South Lakes) and join our fundraising page.
This allows us to not only see how much each individual team has raised, but it shows how much we have all raised in total for the charity.

Why Are We Running This Competition?
In March 2025, Up North Productions owner, Stuart Bannerman, lost his father Robert to cancer. In his final days, Robert (or Bob) was cared for at home by the amazing St John's Hospice team, who went above and beyond with their support to the entire family. However, the hospice relies on grants and donations to keep its doors open, so has Stuart decided to do something to help them out.
St John's Hospice support so many families in the North Lancashire and South Lakes area, this competition is a chance to raise some money for them, and also Stuart's way of saying thank you to everybody who looked after his dad when he needed them the most. It's a cause very close to Stuart and his family's hearts. Every penny raised means so much!
Did You Know...
St John's Hospice only receive around one third of their funding from the NHS!
This means that they need to raise around £9882 a day to keep their vital services going!
All of their care, compassion and support to patients and their families is offered free of charge

Who can enter the competition?
Any grassroots or non league football team in England is eligible—no matter the level or location

Is there a minimum amount we need to raise to be eligible?
No minimum—just raise as much as you can! The team that raises the most by July 31st wins.

Can junior or youth teams enter?
Absolutely! The competition is open to teams of all ages, including under-18s and school teams.

Do we need to be based in the North West of England?
No—this is a nationwide competition. If your team wins and you're further afield, we'll work with you to arrange the best possible filming date.

What if we can’t play a match in August?
We’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule and film the match as close to August as possible.

Can multiple teams from the same club enter separately?
Yes! Each team can fundraise independently with their own JustGiving page under the Up North Productions team.

What happens if two teams raise the same amount?
In the rare case of a tie, we will film BOTH winning teams!

What’s included in the prize if we win?
A full match filmed from a 15ft Hi-Pod tower in HD, a multi-angle highlights video with commentary and replays, plus a copy of the full game.

How do we make sure our team is entered in the competition?
As long as you have set up your JustGiving page, joined our fundraising team page, and filled out the entry form, you are in!

Can we use our fundraiser to raise money for other causes?
For this competition, all funds must go directly to St John’s Hospice (North Lancs and South Lakes) via JustGiving to qualify.

Can I enter as an individual person and raise money on behalf of a team?
Absolutely! Just follow the same steps as above - set up your JustGiving page, join our fundraising team page, and fill out the entry form. As long as you state your team's name on the entry form, you can start raising money and take part.
